BMW 1-Series Hatchback 118d M Sport 5d Owner Review

As soon as I Read about this car I was hooked. Didn't go much on the old model and never really considered them but I really liked the new look inside and out. It is a company car and I ordered blind before any arrived in the UK. It is my first BMW and I love it. My previous car was a golf which was a great car but this model is a cut above in my opinion. Fantastic to drive and everything feels so precise. The engine is punchy with ample torque for my needs. Fuel economy is impressive so far. I can hit 60 MPG with ease on a long journey. The engine is very refined and can hardly be heard when cruising on the motorway. There is a bit more wind and tyre noise compared with the golf which also ran on 18'' wheels. I added the tech pack 2 which is a great addition to give the Live cockpit pro and the Harman Kardon sound. Also added the lumbar support. The drivers seat feels a bit firm at first but has loosened up in time. The only down side is the gear selector feels clunky and doesn't feel very premium compared with the rest of the car. Overall it is a fantastic car.
