Robust build and lots of thoughtful engineering touches mean robust prices.

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

Bought car cheap as trade deal as it had obviously been neglected. Have spent about £1200 on major service, engine cam sensor, electric window sensor and new hood seal. Engine generally in immaculate condition.

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Lovely car to drive. Has two modes - super smooth relaxed low speed and then above 3000 rpm becomes a sports car.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Very good get best of both worlds - cruiser and sports car.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    3 out of 5 3.0

Engine fine, electrics are complicated and all interfaced so can cause problems.

This model has lost its poser appeal and is better for it, tends to be driven by car enthusiasts now instead.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Seats could give a little more support but easy to get into and find comfortable position without much hassle.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

    Very good.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

Major items and service issues sorted very well. Things like door window leaks and rattles have resorted to resolving myself as BMW agents don't spend the time as they know at £80/hr you will not be pleased if they spend 6hrs finding a minor problem.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems
