You get what you pay for. The car purchase price is all round good value.

    Costs

    1 out of 5 1.0

This is where it goes wrong. The BMW dealer is not interested in me or my car. Body repairs and servicing are extortionate prices and devalue the brand image. Enough to make a BMW devotee jump to another marque.

Superb handling. Minor tracking problems prior to service due date.

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

Fast and sturdy. Some drivers find the car too 'rigid' to handle compared with an Audi or other. The car is a drivers car - it's not an automoatic Merc!

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

    So far, so good.

    Top car.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Comfort for two people yes. The seats in the back are not designed for long trips. They are very upright and position you into a awkward position. Not ideal for families, although manageable with smaller children. Passenger and driving seats okay.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    5 out of 5 5.0

Fit an additional tracker to be safe.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

The product is superb, but German quality is second to none. Aftersales service is poor and service quality from the dealerships are very low. If the new car buying experience was reflected in the aftersales service BMW would have it cracked.
