Value
A BMW of this age is reasonably priced now and they hold there value well especially if well looked after.
Costs
Surprisingly reasonable for a BMW. Find a good approved garage though, BMW dealers are pricey.

Driving
A good driver's car if slightly less refined than the six cylinder. Everything is just as it should be.
Performance
Nothing to write home about. Adequate, but not quick.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems engine wise as yet, but watch the climate control. BMW charge over £200 to fix it, but you can do it yourself for free just by fitting a new capacitor.

It's a BMW. I get jealous looks all the time.
Comfort
Mine had lowered suspension on 19"" rims. Tortuous on the back on long journeys. Good cloth seats, but go for the leather if you can.

Thatcham 2 immobiliser as standard. Have an alarm fitted.

My local BMW approved garage is excellent. Knows my car inside out but so much cheaper than the dealer.
