A little overpriced for what you get.

Still under manufacturer's warranty so I haven't incurred any costs yet.

Good car to drive but not as good as an E36 that I had before this car.
Performance
Pretty gutless when pulling away, especially when engine is cold, but this may be due to an ongoing problem that I have where the car loses all power and sometimes cuts out, but only until it reaches running temperature. BMW still trying to fix it.

Not very reliable at all until it gets up to running temp, BMW still trying to fix it (for the sixth time). I'm getting a bit fed up and don't have much faith in them as all they do is plug it in to a computer and seem to hope for the best.

Probably the most secure car I've had.

My local BMW dealer seem completely incompetent in fixing this problem with my car. I'm starting to get fed up taking the car back, I might stage a sit in and phone my local paper with the story if they don't give me a new engine or car.
