It says I'm and old codger with more money than sense!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
think I'm a plonker show off.
Would you buy this car again and why?
no because of the smashing and banging over bumps and 'wandering' ride characteristcs. If you spend this much money you don't want to have to buy new tyres and wheels AND A SPARE KIT to get a comfortable ride. It's my fault, I should have insisted on a long test drive but no BMW dealers here will allow that.
What are you likely to buy next?
something cheaper because I have no more money left. I won't buy anymore expensive European cars. Probably a Toyota.

yes because it was Christmas week and it was on the showroom floor and my trade in was immaculate and immediately re-sellable in their used car division
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
because it isn't too big and the seats are comfortable
What was the dealer like?
I live in Australia and you may find it odd that I joined this forum but I am a car buff - the dealer was 'snooty', arrogant and looked down their noses at us. One salesman was OK - otherwise made to feel like rubbish

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
This is why I am writing - it handles OK but not good around the suburbs because the steering is heavy, and on the open road it needs the concentration of a formula one driver to keep it stable - it hugs every undulation and 'darts' all over the place.RUN FLAT TYRES - awful ride and not suitable for anything other than perfect freeways!

OK but steering is stiff
