BMW 3-Series Saloon (2012 - 2019) 335d xDrive M Sport (07/15-) 4d Step Auto Owner Review

Fantastic car, capable of amazing performance when required but with surprisingly good fuel consumption. Overall will average 38 MPG but on a run will easily return 45+MPG. Great fun to drive as the twin-turbo, three-litre Diesel engine coupled to an eight-speed automatic box means effortless progress regardless of the terrain. xDrive, BMW's all wheel drive system helps in dry and slippery conditions. I have owned the vehicle for a year this month and have not had any problems so far. Tyres have just been replaced at 32000 miles and the battery is about to be replaced. It has never failed to start at the touch of the button but the intelligent charging system can detect when the battery (now 5 yrs old) is starting to age by shutting down certain functions to conserve power, in this case the stop/start which will drop out if the car is not used for a while. I would recommend the BMW 335D xDrive M sport as an senible second hand purchase thus avoiding the dreaded depreciation. I am certainly more than happy with mine. Main dealers tend to be a bit a bit pricey but thare are many specialist firms out there who offer great savings on maintenance.
