In their own words

Having leased a 330d from 2012-16 and wanting to stay with BMW, the 4 series seamed like an upgrade worth looking at. Selected the gran coupe to keep the 4 door and 5 seat practically, 330d to 335d certainly a noticeable step up up in performance with xdrive giving a lot of confidence. No need to anticipate wheel spin when you need to nip out into a busy roundabout. And properly useful in the snow. MPG on the 330d was far superior though giving +500 miles per tank vs 400/450 in the 435d The driving modes (eco, comfort and sport) have a much more noticeable difference in the 435d. In eco when off the gas, revs drop off to an idle, a little odd as when you reapply the throttle revs need to match road speed before accelerating. But quite useful When cruising and you want to give passengers a smoother ride. Found the ride overall to be better than the 3 series. Not many on the roads so nice to have something a little different. Carbon black looks black in the winter but pops with blue under the summer sun. Inside I specced the same so identical to the 3 series.
