Great value - good build quality refined motor, this a well put together motor.

The servicing can be a problem but I do this myself, it's not rocket science. I bought a tool to reset the service lights for £25. You can get BMW parts at very reasonable prices from reputable sources.

    Driving

The car performs very well for its age. Now done 116k and no problems, a little noisy on motorway at speeds above 80mph. OK, its not the fastest away from the lights but if I wanted that I would be driving a Golf Gti.

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

Only issue is that it's a bit underpowered, but the good far outweighs the bad. Fuel economy much better than thirsty 6 cylinder models. I've had one.

Very smooth comfortable drive with armrest down on motorway. Good driving position and seat adjustment, Speedo partly obscured as I am tall.
