Paid £8,800 in 2001, tons of car for the money.
Costs
Very reasonable parts and servicing, great economy, costs about the same to run as a 316i.

Extremely smooth, great feel, superb handling, agility and grip. S class luxury combined with 3 series handling.
Performance
Huge pulling power in every gear - had it 3 years and still think I'm in 2nd when i'm in 3rd! 0-60 in 6.8 secs everytime, and its done 142k miles!

100% faultless, even with 142k miles. Just keep it well-serviced.

Could drive it for days. Extremely smooth, quiet and comfy. Dual climate and lots of toys as standard.
