£100 service at the local (Italian) BMW dealer. Now THAT is cheap.

Wonderfully balanced when having fun.

Engine needed to be caned to get the best out of it. Great noise above 4000rpm though.

Always got randomly road raged by Proton drivers in Worcester. Genuinely no idea why. Might have been the foreign plates, rather than the car?

Italy to Britain to Italy with a five month old. No-one complained.

No standard fit anything. The aftermarket alarm was, oddly, stolen.

The dealer was amazing. I am very sorry I did not buy another, when I decided to buy a new, new car.

Engine
250,000 miles at the end and it gave NO problems. Never used a drop of oil.
Other
A/c compressor died at 220,000 miles. The dealer seemed embarassed!
