Value
Enormous amount of car for the money. Far nicer than equivalent S-Class and better ride than A8.
Costs
Service using an independant BMW specialist and not a problem. About the same as my new 325i was through main dealers. But buy a bulletproof warranty from Warranty Wise. Bits done wld have cost me loads.

On the road
Driving
Fantastic. Handles like a much smaller car and can be really pushed. However, eminently comfortable, quite and relaxing when needed.
Performance
The 911 C4 driver on the M4 was wondering why I was still right behind him from 70 to 110mph. Perfect if de-badged.

Living with it
Reliability
A few minor gremlins, but with warranty peace of mind. Get brake arm buses changed after 60k miles to really tighten up steering feel.

Still classy next to new model (and better looking) as well as old S-Class. In fact, has not dated anywhere near as quickly as one might think.
Comfort
Superb. I do lots of business miles and nothing comes close to this.

Service
Was quite poor at times and expensive, hence switched to an independent specialist… they are brilliant and cost 40% less. BMW send some cars to them!!
