Value
You will struggle to find performance and luxury at this level for the same money with another car.

Fuel costs are horrific as you would expect. Repairs can be done relatively inexpensively by buying parts online.

Driving
A beautiful car to drive, all the electronic gadgets and unrivalled comfort. Handling lets the drive down, especially in the wet- very twitchy!
Performance
Not so quick off the mark, but mid-range acceleration is fantastic. Easily out-guns an equivalent newer S class.

Reliability
A marvellously engineered V8 thumper, look after it and you won't be disappointed.

Still turns heads and demands respect from other drivers, the 740 badge speaks volumes.
Comfort
Proper carpets, full leather, amazingly adjustable memory, heated seats....hard to beat.
