Cheap to buy, reasonable to run for 2litre.
Costs
Head gasket £200 at 70k, rad 100 at 80k.

Driving
Light but not too light power steering, quite short shifting box, light clutch, very good handling for size.
Performance
Beat anything in class of similar power, even beat a BMW z3 off the lights a couple months back! It was probably the 1.9, but still beat it.

Reliability
Never hasn't started, as long as there's petrol in the tank.

With so few neons and only 105 cs in Europe, I always get noticed by people I know.
Comfort
Leather bucket seats are very comfortable on long journeys, ride can be harsh and I know it when I hit a pot hole.

Quite easy to get into with the rimless windows but difficult to start unless you know the correct procedure due to high spec immobiliser.

Did all my own servicing as its way too expensive.
