• Summary

What does this car say about you?

I hope it says that I like a car with a bit of 'cachet', not just something that's plain and practical!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They are impressed, my partner is a wee bit envious I think but won't admit it. My sister who lives in the USA, where there are not many Citroens on the road can't wait to visit and have a ride in it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, but I would check the mileage ratings again as they don't seem to match what Parkers or the Owner's Manual seem to expect. The fuel running cost is higher than I anticipated nonetheless.

What are you likely to buy next?

I would probably buy a Citroen again just due to familiarity with this make, but would consider say a Kia or a Peugot too.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £4,500

When did you buy the car?

    April 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

I probably paid a bit too much and could have bargained down a little but I had been looking for quite a while and was fed up with it all and so when i saw mostly just what I wanted, ie small automatic hatchback, i went for it!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Small automatic that would fit in my small garage!

    What was the dealer like?

Very friendly and helpful and good follow up service, he also recommended gap insurance, which was something I wish I'd had on another car about 7 years ago, but hadn't heard of it then.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Easy, but it makes funny wheezy compression noises when it does the gear changes (being automatic), these are not loud and i enjoy hearing the car doing its work! It seems higher off the ground than my previous Citroen car (saxo) but no problems with road bends and speed,.

    What's it like to park?

Easy, no problems at all, took a while to get used to having a car that did not have the length of previous cars.

  • Living with it

    3 out of 5 3.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Yes; needed new windscreen wipers right away; The brakelights failed but this was fixed under the 6-month purchase guarantee. Will need new brake pads at next service most likely. Running cost higher than anticipated, mileage not as good as expected.

What's most practical about your car?

Size, although it is small to look at, it's actually a family car, can seat 2 adults and 3 kids in back seat quite comfortably along with shopping in boot! However I like because it is small enough to fit in my small garage!

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

'On-board computer 'which calculates amount of mileage left based on what's in the tank, and the dashboard display in general. Still haven't figured out the speed delimiter thingie though.
