Curpra Terramar review on Parkers

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I bought another CUPRA because they were offering good deals at the time and I did get a good deal but so much of the driver comfort technology is so very hit and miss. Power assisted tailgate doesn’t open fully, doesn’t open at all when you’re waggling your leg like an idiot by the rear bumper, vehicle doesn’t lock as you walk away as it should leaving you walking backwards across a car park like a muppet. You get in that car and it doesn’t acknowledge who’s driving as it should and god help you if you both get in with your keys on you it can never work that one out. Finally, and this is purely a personal thing, the colour, chosen for a brochure photo Cosmos Blue. The sales staff would have had me believe that it was the purest blueist blue ever slathered on a car. When it arrived all the sales staff were going to be so jealous of the colour it was the best colour available blah blah. It’s blue. That’s it. It’s not blue like the Skoda blue or the jaguar blue no it’s just blue. In fact two days after taking delivery I parked next to an early 2000s ford fiesta in an identical colour. All in all this is a good car if what your looking for is a run of the mill, bland car with on again off again technology who’s appearance leads it to disappear in the smallest of car parks.

How reliable do you find the car?

Similar to the CUPRA Formentor I owned previously there are a number of issues based mainly around technology in the car that are annoying more than anything.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

I must be old fashioned or just old but when I commit to what is a £40k car I expect it to be what I wanted, what I expected and for everything on it to work without fail.
