Value
Paid £3k for a showroom condition 13,000 mile 98 S in a last minute, need a car, haggle-free deal a year and a bit ago. Can't complain... it has a decent stereo, nice engine and air con!

Ok... uses more fuel than my Vectra and has a smaller engine...

Driving
Not too bad, considering the price. Almost up to my old Rover 200's standard.
Performance
Will easily break the speed limit and has enough power to get you out of trouble.

Living with it
Reliability
Very good. Serviced once a year (every 20,000 miles or so) and she's as sweet as she was when I got her. Only the five year old battery needed replacing... cost me £45. I do await the cambelt change later this year though...

This car isn't really about image... it's about cheap, no nonsense motoring, with a few extras (a bit of power and a bit of comfort). She's the perfect second car really.
Comfort
For the price and age it has modern comforts and the seats are nice and cosy. A bit noisy but I like to hear the engine.

Immobiliser standard. No one would really want to steal it would they?

n/a... purchased the car from a private garage and service it with the AA.

Battery... but it was fairly old when it went.

The odd rattle... one that the garage I purchased it from couldn't fix! I fixed it with a bit of tape behind the dashboard... sometimes eh?
