Fiat Panda 1983
  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

Mine cost £250 (university transport) and the only thing that broke in 12 months was £11 worth of clutch cable. Completley disposable, and easily the best value car I have ever owned.

    Cheap, cheap, cheap.

Stick some Uno Turbo wheels on and you have a mini Ferrari. Loves to be driven hard and can be made to go suprisingly quick if required.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Very sprightly. Only 45bhp, but only 700kgs so shows a clean pair of heels to most heavy modern safety orientated superminis.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    3 out of 5 3.0

F.I.R.E engines tend to be ok up to about 100k, after that they are not too good.

Full length sunroof with Uno wheels on a summer's day, what do you expect for the money!

    Comfort

    2 out of 5 2.0

Crashy and loud but seats are ok. Basically, fine around town, steer clear of motorways!

  • Security and Service

    Security

Bianca model has vinyl roof and you don't need a key to get in! However who on earth wants to steel a Panda!?

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

Fiat dealers are shocking in a word.
