  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Good specs for the price, and a decent discount from the dealer. Resale value plummets rapidly though, so long-term value not so good.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Cheap to run & insure, good mpg.

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Handles well. Ride a bit on the firm side, but acceptable for the price.

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

1.2 engine never going to raise your heart rate too high, but feels nimble in town. Struggles a bit on the motorway, but cruises comfortably.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    1 out of 5 1.0

Fine for 3-4 years, then turned into a catastrophe on wheels. In the space of a year have had to replace gearbox, clutch, rear & mid sections of exhaust, sunroof motor & broken bolt securing passenger seat. Now experiencing repeated overheating problems.

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

    Sharp looking, fun.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Good driving position, plenty of room for driver & passenger, rear passenger room acceptable. Lots of room for big loads with rear seats down.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Central locking, immobiliser. Not outstanding but does the job.

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

Dealership seemingly staffed entirely by Del-Boys. Customer service abysmal.
