• Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

Looks almost identical to a sporting so most people don't really notice it! Punto is a common sight on UK roads but a nice looking little car for the money.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it, most are surprised by how quick it is considering what it is.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Probably not as I have my eye on an Alfa next, but I'd recommend one!

What are you likely to buy next?

Definitely an Alfa - ideally a GTV V6.

    £1,900

    May 2012

Did you get a good deal and why?

Was pretty good, threw in service, MOT and tax, probably could have pushed harder though!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I wanted something reasonably cheap to run but still great fun! And I love italian cars..

    What was the dealer like?

    Fine

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Good fun! Great little engine, 133bhp won't set your hair on fire but around town it feels pretty nippy, though needs to be over 3k to get anything out of it.. Chassis not bad, steering could do with a bit more feel.

    What's it like to park?

It's a small car so pretty easy! Visibility is good and the 'City' button lightens up the steering to make things easier.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing really to be honest! Only thing that has gone wrong a few times is the exhaust system but it's been replaced now and purring along nicely.

What's most practical about your car?

Decent enough room for 4 and big boot, pretty good around town and on country roads and quick enough the keep up on the motorway (though would be perfect with a 6th cog!).

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Has quite a bit of kit for what it is, though quality of the kit isn't always great (ie. built in sat nav is rubbish and the CD changer on mine never works) but sunroof is always nice.
