What does this car say about you?

It was bought for my partner who had just passed their test 2 years ago as a modern, funky, sporty looking car. However didn't live it to its looks.

I previously owned a Seicento, and loved it, but I would never buy any Fiat model again after this experience.

What are you likely to buy next?

Hyundai Getz 1.3 CDX for reliability!! Have just amaged to get rid of this Fiat otday fr a lovely red Hyundai Getz.

    No

    £2,200

When did you buy the car?

    September 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

It was an immaculate car, with only 43,000 miles, and full service history, and a 3 month warranty. It seemed a good deal.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

To replace a Fiat Seicento and because it was a good spec, low mileage, one owner, and the colour Racing Blue was really sporty looking.

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer honoured the warranty fully as the car had lots of problems.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

The car is very lively for a 1.2 (the 16v helps). However it is annoyingly noisy to drive (road noise), and it seems the running problems are very common and hard to rectify, so it makes for jerky driving, and erratic revs.

    What's it like to park?

Very handy size, and a plus point is the city button which lightens the steering.

Have you had any problems with the car?

A long list! The exhaust fell off The battery needed replaced A wheel bearing has gone Various intermittent electrical glitches with radio, and dash lights, and the electric power steering. The head gasket blew The coil pack went fault Numerous oil leaks Rattling parcel shelf Engine running problems In the end I have had to get rid of the car as the engine running problems have continued after the warranty has expired and the car has had over £850 of repairs in 5 months of owning, has been in for repairs 8 times in 5 months....I have to say the most awful car I have ever owned!

What's most practical about your car?

Nothing any more, can't wait to get rid of it.
