I bought the car as a useable everyday classic and have been very impressed with how good it is. The mk2 Uno seems much more solid and better built than the mk1 and I have grown to like the CVT transmission. It can be a bit jerky at low speeds but it helps to warm up the engine before driving off.Car is very comfortable, easy to drive and park and is well able to cope with modern traffic conditions. Interior space and practicality has always been a strong point of the Uno and it is just as good as I remember. Fuel consumption is not up to the standard of smaller engined versions I have owned previously but performance is much better so a fair compromise. Overall I do love this little car and it is perfect for the use I make of it. It is also now a very rare classic.
How reliable do you find the car?
Car has been well maintained throughout its life and is very low mileage for its age. Previous lady owner obviously drove it with care and this reflects perfect score on reliability so far.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Wasn't too keen on idea of Selecta gearbox having read negative reviews. Took some getting used to at first but I really like it now.About their car
