What does this car say about you?

As I'm only in my 20's, alot of people think it is an older persons car (usually refered to as the mans version of the Puma). I like it though, and you son't see many of them on the roads.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Generally like it, though alot of people will not have heard or seen them before!

Would you buy this car again and why?

As much as I like mine, probably not. It looks like it should go faster than it does, and it is difficult for parking.

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably something smaller, but will want to keep at least thes ame power - Clio 2.0 or Citroen C2 VTS maybe?

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Had quite a few Fords in the past, mostly Fiestas and Escorts. Was impressed with the performance of my last Escort 1.8 Si 16V, but wanted something faster and sportier!

    What was the dealer like?

Quite pushy and rude, b ut was prepaired to put up with them in order to get a good bargain!

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Due to Zetec engine most of the power comes at about 4000+ rpm. Still quick off the mark, and low end speed can be improved vith addition of induction air filter. Comfy smooth ride and quiet.

    What's it like to park?

Not so practical in car parks due to its length and low ground clearance - makes it awkward for parking and especially going in multi-stories and over speed bumps.

  • Living with it

    3 out of 5 3.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Yes - Clutch went just after I bouhght it but covered by guarantee £?, Air intake valve cost £190, Gear linkage £300, Cam belts cost £300 every 40k miles. Other general running costs are reasonable due to sharing an engine with the 2.0 Mondeo.

What's most practical about your car?

Big boot and lots of room in the front for driver and passenger.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Air conditioning and climate control, and on-board computer with external temperature, mpg, miles left in tank.
