Value
Very good, for such little money you get a good looking car with lots of toys.
Costs
Parts and labour is as cheap as it gets, but the Zetec engine requires a bit of special treatment.

Quick enough, steering is responsive but not exactly fun to drive.
Performance
Certainly fast enough, fine on the motorway but could be a little quicker in the city.

Reliability
Not perfect but touch wood its never let us down. Starts instantly even in the coldest of mornings.

Can look quite sporty with its spoiler and colour coded bumpers but its still an Escort.
Comfort
The ride is very fidgety especialy on bumpy roads, the handeling is not that great either.

Good imboliser but weak locks.
Service
Not applicable as all servicing is done from local garages.

Engine
Coil pack, block hose, leaking heak gasket seal, leaking rocker cover, all minor stuff which was cheap to fix.
Other
Lamda sensor failed, just the usual clutch, break and exchaust replacements.
