Loads of Escort's around so parts and cars cheap.
Costs
Being a Ford and an Escort makes it cheap to run especially if as reliable as mine.

Driving
Goes well and handles well for a diesel, quite surprised (pleasantly).
Performance
Pretty quick for an old school diesel, especially with an induction kit fitted (sounds quite good then as well).

Reliability
Only ever 1 problem on my motor, fuse box gave up. Got re-soldered for £45.

Saloon doesn't even have the boy racer image of the hatchback, but then that's why I like it so much.
Comfort
Very comfy on short or long journeys.
