Summary
What does this car say about you?
Frugal and not yet having a mid-life crisis.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
A smart little runaround.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably not. It was bought for my daughter to practice in, but being diesel and not petrol like her instructor's Fiesta she found it a bit strange to drive because of the lack power.
What are you likely to buy next?
A mid-size quality car such as a Mercedes or Audi.
-
Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£10,000
When did you buy the car?
July 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
I knew from research what a good price looked like and what I was prepared to pay.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
My daughter was learning to drive in same size vehicle.
What was the dealer like?
Very friendly dealership. The vehicle had only just come in having been pre-owned by one of their part time staff, who had bought another vehicle from them. I negotiated a good price and first service.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It is a bit sluggish being diesel and can be a bit lumpy at very slow speeds. When it is moving at a moderate speed or fast it is very smooth.
What's it like to park?
As it is such a small car it is very easy to park. It does have rear parking sensors, which helps. Front sensors are not needed because of the small size.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Everything fine so far.
What's most practical about your car?
The really low mpg. On a clear run I have had 72mpg, the worst was 44.8mpg in very heavy London traffic.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
There aren't many gadgets but the Bluetooth for hands-free use is useful.
