Would you buy this car again and why?

I definately wouldn't buy a Ford again and in my opnion I would advise everyone to avoid Polar Ford. I was really dissapointed with the fuel economy. Ford claims the car in capable of reaching 70 mpg and average over 60. I do about 250 motorway miles every week and about 50miles or town/ b roads and I'm currently getting about 51-52mpg (and that's with being rather careful with accelerating). As mentioned before the car is really loud on motorway. There is a lot of road and engine noise. When you do 70mph the revs stay at approx 2.6k- 2.7k,.

Definately not a ford. I am looking to buy either Audi a4 or Bmw 318/320d.

I wanted to part ex my old car and managed to get a decent deal.

Looks, fuel economy.

What was the dealer like?

Bought the car from Polar Ford. The dealer was pushy and quite arrogant.

What's it like to drive?

Bein the sporty model the ride is a bit tough at time but the vehicle drives great. It is reasonably quiet until you drive at no more than 50 mph and really loud once you hit 70. I wouldn't call the engine nippy as it is really slow. My brother's 1.4 ibiza is a lot faster and more refined than the fiesta and the fuel economy is more or less the same.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I've had the car for 6 months now and I had to take it back to the garage 12 times. Polar Ford were extremely unhelpful and useless. There is a knocking noise coming from front suspension. I also get some rather worrying knocks from the steering column when turning the wheel. The staff at Polar Ford confirm that there is a noise but they are unable to locate the fault!!! On one occasion my girlfriend had to sit in the back and hold the boot lid and the boot wouldn't shut! After 2 weeks of owning the car (and 25k miles on the clock) it had to have the timing belt and water pump replaced due to some leaks! I would never recommend buying a car from Polar Ford. Once you pay for it they are simply not interested in helping you.

What's most practical about your car?

Probably its size and visibility.
