Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

RELIABILITY: My previous car was a vauxhall corsa vxr, a great fast little hatchback but has the worse realiblity of any car i have owned. So i thought buying a new car like a fiesta would result in realiblity and peace of mind. The fiesta has been nothing but problems since i brought it. Being the titanium x model it has the extras like heated leather seats, revers camera, sony stereo and better wheels. The silver bits snapped on the interior vents within the first few days. The paid also seems to chip quite easly as mine is plastered in stone chips already. The stereo is half decent but the best if not ONLY part of owning a ford is the quick clear heated windscreen and heated seats in the winter. The car hasnt actually broken down yet but i carnt see the 3 cylinder 1.0 turbo lasting long as it already seema quite ticky. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The warrenty offered is quite frankley a joke as they never want to fix or replace anything. If you look online im sure you will see the amount of common problems these fiestas have and how helpfull ford are. Having so many problems with a car less that 3 months old at the time, Just shows how bad the build quality is. I have totally lost confidence in ford now and dout id ever own another. If you buy outside of warrenty however look for the common faults but hopefully they have already been fixed. Replacement parts do however seem quite fair. PRACTICALITY: The car is quite good to live with if you forgot about the build quality, being a small hatchback and 5doors does make it good around town. One of the reasons i brought the car is because i knew it would be a decent family car. The boots is average but leg room in the back is compromised. if you wanted more then you would get the focus. One major design floor is the whole by the handbrake. When the handbrake is up there is a whole exposed and what ever is in your pocket will be disappearing down there, keys, money usbs you name it and its a absolute nightmare to get back. RUNNING COST: The car is quite cheap to run being tax exempted but the 1.0 eco boost driving around town isnt as great as you think. Its actually worse on fuel that my old vxr. I average 34mpg out of the ecoboost around town with a few duel carriage ways driving normal, but put your foot down and it does become rather thirsty. It will dramatically improve on motorways though. Insurance is quite expensive due to the massive increase in fords getting stolen due to the poor keyless design with theifs using the obd port to clone keys. PERFORMANCE: Performance... well if your after that then your not going to be looking at a 1.0 eco boost but you will be suprised. They not actually as bad as you may think and did impress me on the test drive as i was expecting worse. If you do have a heavy foot and keep it om the turbo most of the time your fuel economy will suffer and probally watch the needle drop. OVERALL: The value do depreciate quite bad but if my car got stolen or writren off lets just say i wouldent loose any sleep. My advice save your money and look for a alternative as you will just be diaspointed with the car.

How reliable do you find the car?

The car continuously goes back to the ford dealer (kings norton Birmingham) because they never bother to fix the problems on the vehicle. The three year warrenty they offer isnt worth the paper its written on. My vehicle went in a total of 5 times for water ingress into the boot area(common fault) each times leaving me with no car for a few days. They never did find the problem to date and when i asked them to replace some seals they refused saying it would cost there deparment money. I ended up taking the vehicle to arnoldclark where i first brought the vehicle and they sorted it for me. I also send the vehicle into ford because the top mounts were worn causing a loud rubber squeek over bumps. The garage contacted me saying the mounts were fine, the tyres were low on tread (4mm !) And if i replaced all the tyres they would look into it further. I complained to the mananger who couldent care less to be honest. I refused to have the tyres changed as the legal limit is 1.6mm and having more that double the legal limit there was nothing wrong with them. I later payed a independed garage to change the top mounts and suprise suprise the squeek has gone. I also contacted them reguading a few electrical fault, sometimes the interior lights would stay on even though i locked the car up. I had to unlock the car and start it and turn it off again for the lights to go off. Also the passenger window wouldent always work. All these faults were and the vehicle was less than 3 months old. Now the vehicle being 2 years old and on 21,000 miles the clutch bite has gone really high. Considering i dont ride the clutch and drive it with alot of mechanical sympathy, im absolutely shocked how quickly its worn. I later found out they changed the design of the clutches for some reason so obviously another fault known to ford but good look getting then to fix it. Overall terrible build quality !
