Bought second hand, so didn't succumb to huge depreciation (thankfully).

Good to drive. Picks up nicely from standing start.
Performance
Quite nippy for a 1.6 - handles twisty roads quite well.

Reliability
Only failed to start once since I've owned it, even then it came to life on the second attempt. Outstanding!

Would have looked great when the Focus was new, but now it's just another Escort... still looks nice though.

4 hours solid driving. No backache or pins and needles.

Immobiliser and remote central locking. Par for the course now, but not to be sniffed at.
Service
No major problems. Needs a new set of boots every 15k. Standard servicing costs, nothing unexpected.
