Ford Focus Hatchback (2011 - 2018) 1.6 TDCi (115bhp) Zetec 5d Owner Review

Pros: Cheap to run being a diesel, Good sized boot, comfort and spec is good for price. Good looking (in my opinion). Parts are cheap. Handles well. Cons: Leaking boot! As it seems with many Focus owners. Boot smelt mouldy, turns out that rain leaks into boot through vents behind bumper as the factory seals are not fit for purpose. Removed and refitted with silicone sealant as shown in many internet vids! The throttle seems to lose sync with engine meaning the engine holds revs up for a second between gear changes which lowers fuel economy. Drivers door has a rattle. Breaks front springs once a year it seems.
