  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

Hopefully it says that I know a good car when I see one - I considered all the alternatives to the ST and havent looked back.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

I think the ST does a good job of masking the evil that lies underneath the bonnet. My friends know its an animal, but my parents and in-laws just think its a nice focus!!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Most definitely. The value for money is second to none, and I always look forward to getting in it and driving (I know thats sad).

What are you likely to buy next?

Possibly an Audi A5 or a 4x4 - depending on how many kids I have....

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £15,000

When did you buy the car?

    April 2007

Did you get a good deal and why?

Great deal - car was 12 months old and listed at £17,449. However they had too many ST's on the forecourt and were having some brand new ones in so they put the price of a few down to £15,000 to sell them.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Great value for money - performance, looks, comfort, practicality, not that expensive to run considering what you get out of that five-cylinder engine.

    What was the dealer like?

Superb service (John Grose in Ipswich) - Terry there is a legend. Couldnt have asked for better service.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Amazing. Its a nice firm ride and the handling is superb. Its got bags and bags of torque, and absolutely no lag from the turbo. The power just keeps on coming through the revs - it really does have a fantastic engine.

    What's it like to park?

No problem, although I think the missus would disagree.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

No, touch wood. There is however a vibration in the dashboard that comes alive that can be quite annoying at about 80mph. This goes when you get it over 90mph!!

What's most practical about your car?

On long journey's I can manage more than 40mpg from it, so its great for fuel on motorways considering how easy it is cruising along and overtaking is effortless.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Where do I start.... LOVE the engine noise. Any gear, any speed you get a wonderful growl out of the engine with a whistle from the turbo. The headlights are fabulous, as are the submarine lighting at night. The turbo and oil dials are also a nice touch.
