Reasonable equipment, ALWAYS buy with A/C.

    Costs

    2 out of 5 2.0

This vehicle has cost me an inordinate amount. New Ford gearbox and clutch. New Cat, 8 new tyres at £65 each, Engine sensors, discs etc etc, drinks oil.

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Drives well, but pitches badly over bumps. This makes kids carsick easily. Yet same kids don't get sick in our little Fiat Seicento.

    Performance

    2 out of 5 2.0

Drives like a sponge. Has poor acceleration due to low power (115bhp) and high weight.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    2 out of 5 2.0

A joke. Interior is clipped together, especially seat trims which have a strong tendency to part with the frame. These cars like the Sharan, Alhambra, are put together in a slipshod, cheap manner.

Quite high, but a Ford badge isn't the best halo effect for the status conscious.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Reasonably comfortable. Clever packing and a roof box allows reasonable luggace capacity.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

No problems, but who'd want to steal it?

    Service

    2 out of 5 2.0

Poor. Dealers don't answer phone or call back. However, German Ford dealers are fantastic.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

Drinks oil for fun. Rattly, probable valve and piston slap.

    Other

Interior clipped together with a bag of clips that cost £1.50 from a dealer. Nuff said!
