In their own words

Very smooth and comfortable drive, being that the petrol engined Mondeo does not have the "sport suspension" fitted to diesels. Yet this car handles really well on bendy roads. Not as economical as expected and needs quite a few gear changes for hills. This 1.6 petrol lacks "engine braking", coming down hills. However, on motorways the "turbo overboost" on fifth and sixth gears alows for easy overtaking. This is a large car and parking can be a problem. Build quality seems to be down on the previous Mondeo. The heating and cooling have been disapointing. Takes too long to heat up in winter. In summer air conditioning just cannot cope with such a large cockpit, Trim in parts is very fragile. But paint finish is very good and externally this car looks the part. Ford only monitors their dealers for the first two services and obviously, each dealer knows this. Very upset over incomplete third service which cost £322! Finding a good Ford dealer is hard. Overall, an exceptional drivers car.
