Was a year old when I bought it for £9999.
Costs
Hasn't cost me a bean in repairs except general services. Until now (Dec 2001).

On the road
Driving
This is by far the easiest to drive I've had. Handles great and stops on a sixpence.
Performance
Having driven everything from a 4.2 Jag to a 1.1 Fiesta, this is by far the best car I've had performance wise. Treat them gently.

Reliability
It took 5 years for my first problem! That was minor and from what I'm reading common.

Boring they say. I don't think so. The Inland revenue thought I was earning more. What can I say!
Comfort
Not as comfortable as a Jag or a Granada, but a very comfortable ride. I did London to Edinburgh in one hit and neither myself or pasengers were stiff at all.

Recall notice for seatbelt was delt with quickly, but services are very very expensive.

Noisy tappets when cold.
Other
Misfire when cold or after heavy trafic. Bad to start when damp. Security sensor not working.
