Averagely equipped.
Costs
On the rare occasion things did go wrong, it didn't cost much to repair. Ford parts are cheap, and scrapyard parts cheaper.

Smooth enough, doesn't hold the road very well though.
Performance
Averaged close to 40 MPG, although not as quick as you might think for a 1.8 16 valve.

Despite Ford's bad reputation, here I never had problems in any weather.
