A lot of car for the money - worth if for the quality attributes alone.

    Costs

Some parts can be extremely expensive that you think wouldn't be. However, some parts are surprisingly reasonable when you think they'll cost a lot. Overall, servicing etc is pretty decent.

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

A superbly competent FWD. Easily best I've ever driven.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Has to be driven hard to get the best from it - but that is the essence of VTEC. You'll be surprised how many lesser cars can cope with you up till you hit 5800 rpm - then its a different matter. Feels like there should be a 6th gear.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

After having an impreza that spent as much time off the road as on it. The ATR is superior in every aspect in comparison. These cars are built to endure.

    Image

Admittedly very bland - even with the wing. Needed a more aggressive looks, but bear in mind the average Accord driver is in their 40's (seemingly)

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Overall the cabin is very well laid out. The recaro's are excellent at keeping you rooted when making progress. The layout of the dash is well thought out.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    5 out of 5 5.0

Very good indeed - reminded me of the special Mondeo Si edition that had same set up. Looks for one with option added alarm.

    Service

    5 out of 5 5.0

Most proper Honda dealers are excellent. You normally find one that suits very quickly. Ask for a discount on parts - easy way to spot a good one.
