  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

The car is often overlooked, so its a bargain to buy used. Not as cheap as a Mondeo, but then its not the same level of car.

    Costs

    2 out of 5 2.0

Parts cost a lot, but are usually very good quality. Cambelt change: £220(dealer), front discs £50 each, sparks £20. 30mpg, 400 miles on a tank

  • On the road

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Very well mannered, easy to throw around, very little body roll.

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

Sharper than average, but a 1.8 family saloon is never going to rip. Vtec helps after 4500 rpm, feels almost like a fast car at that point.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

    Nothing has ever gone wrong.

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Not an Audi or a BMW, but not far off. Looks pretty tidy in my opinion, especially with factory alloys. Understated, refined elegance. Just like me.

    Comfort

    5 out of 5 5.0

You can sit in it all day without your butt grumbling too much. Not too much legroom in the back, but still not too bad.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    5 out of 5 5.0

Who's going to break into a Honda accord? No-one. Chavs don't go near it.

    Service

    4 out of 5 4.0

Only used them a couple of times, expensive but good.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

Air con was bad when I bought it, but a replacement pollen filter (hidden behind the glove box if you're wondering) sorted it out.
