  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

That I need a fair bit of luggage space, yet I don't sacrifice a good drive.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Until they've had a ride in it, a few people have said it's an older man's car. Doesn't bother me, they're missing out.

Would you buy this car again and why?

    In a heartbeat.

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably a small sports car to go alongside this, I can't see me getting rid of it.

    £10,500

    January 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

They gave me a good price for my part-exchange.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I needed a more practical car than the 3 Series Coupe I had previously.

    What was the dealer like?

    Friendly, no high-pressure sales tactics.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Very good. It's a big heavy car, but once on the move the weight disappears. The Diesel engine is easily the best diesel I've driven, incredibly smooth and torquey. Corners nice and flat, and the steering is nice and direct with lots if feel.

    What's it like to park?

Not bad at all for an estate, all-round visibility is pretty good and the controls are light.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Not a thing, reliable to the point of being slightly boring.

What's most practical about your car?

Obviously the boot is great, easily swallows up a couple if weeks shopping, or in my case a couple if bikes and camping gear. The rear seats fold easily, and go quite flat, all very practical.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

USB port works well with iPhone, all the gadgets on the dash, just need to learn what all the buttons do, there's a lot of them.
