Value
Prices not tumbling on this model, and unlike type-R, happy with price I paid but it was hard work getting it. It was reassuring to have a sales man confident about a model and not crumbling with the mention of "Golf" or "Leon".

Driving
Thought I would hate it, couldn't have been more wrong. Wife's idea to give it a go, I thought it was an old mans car. We had tried the Golf, but was disappointed as with the Leon, promised lots but we felt they fell short. The Type-S is a fine car.
Performance
Confident performance. I thought it would try to be a type-R, but it's happy being what it is. Quick when you want it but with group 11 insurance.
