What does this car say about you?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My mum loves it (she has a '09 jazz) especially the power. My friends all love getting in it and whenever we go on roadtrips its the car of choice.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes I would. I drove a friends Golf GT TDi 170 the other week and although it was fast I got back in the civic and it just felt special...

What are you likely to buy next?

I honestly don't know. I'd definitely go for a Honda again though although they do now seem ridiculously expensive.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes. I think becuase I did a lot of digging and chose the exact car I wanted from elsewhere in the dealer network I was able to negotiate a good price.

What was the dealer like?

Very helpful, at every point where I've required any help or query anything they've bent over backwards.

What's it like to drive?

I love it. The 2.2 is an amazing engine that's efficient smooth and powerful. It just seems to propel you down the road on a mountain of torgue. It just wafts you down the road and picks up speed so easily that before long you'll have to step off the accelerator otherwise you'll lose your licence. My only critisim is the hard ride. Mine sits on 17" and I'm told that the 16" ride better but Clarkson's right when he said the suspension is "stiffer than a corpse on Viagra".

What's it like to park?

It's not too bad when you get used to it. I can understand why the later models were fitted with reversing aids as standard. Another point is that the turning circle seems ridiculously small - but once again something you get used to.

Have you had any problems with the car?

At 3 1/2 years old one of the power fold mirrors went but was replaced under the additional years warranty I got from the dealer. Since then nothing else has gone wrong.

What's most practical about your car?

The magic seats and boot capacity are amazing. My friends 5 door golf can't even compete.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I got the EX which has the large built in colour screen displaying sat nav/ radio/ climate control. But the real talking point of the car is the dash as a whole. It just feels special.
