Honda Civic Type-R (2001 - 2005) 2.0i VTEC 3d (AC) Owner Review

Keeping this sweet and shortish

50ltr tank I get driven sensibly 350 miles to the tank just before the light comes on so 42ltr for 350 miles works out 37mpg.

Always check oil I can go a month or so as I know my car but if driven hard check often.

34 psi all around on tyres

My spec includes 2.5 inch catback
Tegiwa induction kit.

Car has required money to be spent as expected but has been very reliable too thankfully.

Word of warning this car may cause issues in your life to the point it is not too much fun to own and you will develop a bond with it talk to it etc and find you can never get rid of it and spend an unhealthy amount of time worrying about it parked outside and other road users etc.

Wish I could keep mine in the lounge as an ornamental piece where I can enjoy a meal and simply look at it and think.

I sit in this car to think and talk to it about future plans upgrades etc.

An induction kit is a great mod for this car as the vtec will roar and sounds incredible.

Had 100mph once on a goat track in Mexico but should be good for 140+

Unusual fault with an electronic load detector will cause the vehicle when warm say it idles at 900rpm and you rev the car it drops to say 500rpm then will raise back to 900rpm.this can be hard to have diagnosed as sometimes no code.please buy a new electronic load detector for around £40 and takes about 10 mins to replace in fusebox.

I give up on this now will be here forever.
