Best £16k ever spent.
Costs
Only had the car 3 months, so yet to experience service costs - I have been assured by the dealer that they are not horrific (approx. £120 for first and 2nd service, £300 for third)... Petrol consumption costs for power of engine absolutely fine!

One word... Stunning!
Performance
Hmmmm... £16k (NEW - before anyone comments that they can purchase 'another' model 2nd hand for less that performs or outperforms), 200bhp(almost), 0-60 in 6.4 secs, max 146mph... need I say more?

One slight prob. Up to now, the engine management sensor was faulty, now replaced, no probs. Since... teething fault me thinks!

In contrast to other reviews, the image of the Type-R is NOT boy-racerish. There is no way a typical Nova/Corsa chav could afford one... if they could, then I wouldn't have one.
Comfort
Very good for the type of car... if you want a vehicle with electric heated seats, climate control, auto folding mirrors etc, don't bother because you obviously have different priorities!
