• Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

With blacked-out windows and lots of chrome I like to think pimp, but in reality sensible family person! I like the Honda brand, it represents quality and innovation without the flashiness of other marques.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Impressed - though a few comments about gas-guzzling 4x4's (not true in this cars case).

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely, a very good all-rounder for families or those with an active lifestyle. It's a slight shame there's no 7-seat option al la Qashqai+2 - maybe Honda will look at this for the next model?

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably the same again. very impressed so far.

    Franchise

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    March 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, leased direct from Honda. Got a great deal at the peak of the credit crunch.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    What was the dealer like?

Very professional and friendly - no hard-sell and were willing to match internet leasing offers.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Very easy to drive. Plenty of power and an effortless cruiser on the motorway. Enjoy the high driving position and chunky steering wheel. Not very involving in the corners but you don't buy an SUV for that. I've found the seats uncomfortable on longer journeys, too hard though may improve with time.

    What's it like to park?

Quite easy, front and rear parking sensors and large door mirrors help. It does feel wide though and the rear window is set high up. Rear 3/4 visibility is poor due to small windows and large pillars - seems to be the case in most modern cars these days.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Problem with electric window auto-closing that was fixed quickly under warranty. Nothing otherwise.

What's most practical about your car?

The 2 tier boot is very useful - seems to be a unique feature. I like the huge lorry-like door mirrors too. The rear space could be better. With a baby car seat on the back seats, the front seats rearward movement is limited.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Blue ambient lighting in the cabin, pointless but cool. Standard aux connector is welcome too for iPod use.
