In their own words

Bought s/h in 2006 with 73K on the clock, it has proved to be very reliable and well built. The only replacements apart from routine brake pads, discs, suspension bushes etc in my ownership have been the starter motor at 153K miles, the EGR valve ( to satisfy MOT) in 2019, a brake caliper in March 2020.at 180,000 miles.and the "Y" branch for the exhaust. I have regularly waxoyled the chassis which is still sound. The only rust on the body is at the junction of lower panel and rear window frame on the large back door. Fuel economy recorded over 110,000 miles is 23mpg which sounds poor but compensated for by the extraordinary mechanical reliablity and low mainatinance cost. I also get the benefit of 225bhp when I want it! It does use a little oil, averaging about 800 miles per litre overall but about 500mpl on motorways. A very satisfactory car which owes me nothing!
