Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

Purchased in January 2008 from a premium used car dealership as a second hand import from Japan, mileage was 72,000km or 44,750 miles.Blue paint and body work in excellent condition. It had a gearbox sensor fault and heater fault which was repaired under warranty. Being a V6 3 litre petrol engine it performs very well, fuel consumption is good getting about 25 mpg combined but on one 200 mile trip with a strong tail wind all the way it gave 34 mpg. One failing is the rear passengers seat leg room, although adequate for small or medium sized passengers it is small for larger passengers. The seats (not leather in this car) are very comfortable and never get too hot or cold to sit in as leather seats can do.I have added a Chrome front grill kit to the car as I do not like the original black grill which just looks like an empty black void from a distance.I have owned the car for some 11 years now and would like to keep it for a while longer, but also purchase an XK coupe as its stable mate when I retire. Previous Jaguars owned were a 2.4 1958 MK1, 3.4 1964 MK2, 2.8 1971 XJ6, 4.2 1970 XJ6, being the best car of the four, with the MK2 a very close second. Both the 2.4 and 2.8 being somewhat under powered for the weight of the car.

How reliable do you find the car?

(2012 ) Coolant expansion plastic container cracked while on holiday, engine warning system kicked in when the car became too hot, car ok when more coolant added after car cooled down, able to drive 200 plus miles home without incident, new coolant container cost NZ $250, very expensive just for a plastic container.(2008) Left rear wheel bearing replaced,(2014) left front ball joint replaced.Recently (2019) rear suspension mounts replaced.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

A great car to drive whether in town or country, handles very well on New Zealands curvy mountain roads .
