Jaguar XE (2015 - 2024) Portfolio 25d 2.0 Twin Turbocharged Diesel 240PS AWD auto 4d Owner Review

I have owned the car for 14 months before the engine developed a knocking noise despite full service history and only completing 72000 miles. I took it to a Jaguar garage who say the engine has lost compression in one cylinder and needs to be replaced (approx cost £12k). Jaguar customer service have absolutely zero interest despite their website stating the engine should last at least 150,000 miles. Apparently there is a known design fault with the DP filter which can wreck the engine (and which Jaguar will not acknowledge). Customer service is appalling, there is no complaints procedure and I will never buy anything from JLR again.
