In their own words

Having owned BMWs and Audis over the last 25 years I decided I would have a change and bought the Jag XF 2L Portfolio.

As with all Jags it came with a lot of equipment and features which would be expensive extras with BMW and Audi and the build quality is equal.

When I first got the car I was a little disappointed with the performance and drive and also the auto gear selection wasn't great at low speed, it also had a delay on acceleration and wasn't that responsive on cornering etc.

Having read the hand book, I realised that ECO mode doesn't give a true reflection of the capabilities of the car and selecting "normal" mode gave it an impressive boost, whilst "sport" mode got the very best from the car. I now use normal mode on a daily basis but enjoy a blast in sport mode now and then. The performance and drive are excellent in these modes and the cornering is exceptional, but it is at the cost of a few MPG over ECO mode. As I only do around 7k mileage per annum, its not an issue for me and £20 pa road tax evens it out anyway.

Its a handsome car and stands out from the crowd. The BMW 5 and Audi A6, whilst being excellent cars, are beginning to look a bit jaded and staid in my opinion.

You get a lot of car for the money and it never ceases to put a smile on my face each time I drive it.
