Jaguar XK R (2006 - 2014) 5.0 Supercharged V8 R Convertible 2d Auto Owner Review

Rush with hush. Ridiculously refined, wonderfully comfortable, very, very quick, great brakes, superb handling. Beautiful to look at. Accommodates my two children in the rear seats and puts a huge grin on my face every single time I get in it. That only increases as you start up and move off. I had a Porsche 911 and though the Jaguar is possibly not quite as nimble, it suits me far better. That other road users are actually nice to you is a huge added bonus. It is absolutely effortless to drive; a blip of the accelerator moves you into a different realm really quickly and yet it is hugely controlled in the delivery. A measure of the overall excellence is that the only fault I can find with the car is the feel of the flappy gearchange paddles. They are horrible and the cheap plastic has no place in a car of this class. Unsurprisingly, I have the same problem with the ones in my Land Rover Discovery. I'm changing them all to aluminium ones at ridiculous expense!
