In their own words

I bought the 2014 XKRS after owning an XK 5.0 as I liked the more aggressive looks, extra pace, rarity & it’s likely minimal depreciation. After over 2 years of ownership I have found it surprisingly economical, and more comfortable than I expected for such a fast, focused version of the XK. The engine noise at all speeds & on downshifts is totally intoxicating making every drive an addictive experience! I’ve owned the car for over 2 years now & found it totally reliable & surprisingly inexpensive to service using Jaguars over 3 year’s fixed price service & MOT deal which cost approximately £400 for an A service with an MOT & £300 for a B service with an MOT, both supplied with Jaguars full vehicle inspection reports. This compared to an Aston Martin, Maserati or Porsche proves very favourable, and was 1 of the reasons I chose the XKRS. Downsides are the archaic infotainment system, slightly feel-less steering, and the sheer weight of the car. It must be classed as a very fast & loud naughty grand tourer, a little brasher than its Aston or Maserati equivalent but definitely not as nimble & sporty as a Porsche, Nissan GTR or Audi R8. Ironically it’s nearest rival might well be the Jaguar F typeR which addresses the XKRS’s dynamic & interior failings whilst still using the same charismatic engine if you can live without the extra interior space of the XKRS.
