What does this car say about you?

    Professional family orientated - successful.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They love the styling - even though it is now an 'old' model. Family love the comfort.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes - definately. It is still, in my opinion, the best looking Grand Cherokee made. The styling still looks contemporary.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Another Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £11,995

When did you buy the car?

    August 2006

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes - this was a very low mileage model (24,000) for it's age - that had been traded in by another Jeep owner, looking to upgrade to a new model. As such, whilst 'older' than would normally be displayed on a Jeep dealer's forecourt - the car was in immaculate condition and a reasonable price.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    What was the dealer like?

Very good - they fitted new brakes, new discs and new tyres all round as part of the deal. They were professional and weren't pushy in gaining the sale. They offered a reasonable trade-in / part-ex on my old Jeep that I was looking to sell as part of the deal.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

It can accelerate off from traffic lights like a rocket (although just watch the fuel gauge drop!). Acceleration is amazing considering the size and weight of this beast. Very comfortable and steady.

    What's it like to park?

Easy. Good all-round vision coupled with great power steering. It is easier than our second car - (a Peugeot).

Have you had any problems with the car?

The car came with an extended warranty. One month after purchase - I noticed a grinding noise for the rear diff. The dealer took the car back and replaced the entire diff at no cost (thankfully). Apart from that one (potentially major issue) - the car has been absolutely rock solid.

What's most practical about your car?

It is simply a joy to drive - and still brings a smile to my face whenever I get in it. It is absolutely brilliant for long journeys as it is very comfortable (although expensive on fuel). Load size is great - the boot just swallows up weekly shopping trips !

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Cruise control on those long journeys - as well as stupid little things like the overhead trip computer - my daughter loves to know what direction we're going in. Also, the self dimming rear view mirrors - still impresses me !
